On April 9, 2010 Senator Addabbo held his second job fair. Over 2800 people attended seeking employment. There were 115 companies that participated. It was truly a great success!

ADDABBO’S AQUEDUCT-GENTING SELECTION STATEMENT

Queens, NY, August 3, 2010 – NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., a member of the Senate's Racing, Gaming & Wagering Committee, today issued the following statement on the winning Aqueduct bidder:  “Today’s selection by the New York Lottery of Genting New York LLC,  means that finally, after almost a decade-long process, the future of Aqueduct Racetrack and the surrounding communities looks bright.”  According to sources at New York Lottery, Genting was chosen for their professionalism and for their understanding of the needs of the community.
