ADDABBO’S AQUEDUCT-GENTING SELECTION STATEMENT

Queens, NY, August 3, 2010 – NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., a member of the Senate's Racing, Gaming & Wagering Committee, today issued the following statement on the winning Aqueduct bidder:  “Today’s selection by the New York Lottery of Genting New York LLC,  means that finally, after almost a decade-long process, the future of Aqueduct Racetrack and the surrounding communities looks bright.”  According to sources at New York Lottery, Genting was chosen for their professionalism and for their understanding of the needs of the community.

Queens, NY, September 13, 2010 – "Now that the NYS Attorney General and State Comptroller have signed off on the Aqueduct proposal, I am optimistic that the final necessary procedures can be expediently completed, so that we move toward the realization of local jobs and economic benefit from the site. ADDABBO: SENATE COMMITTEE HOLDS HEARING TO DETERMINE THE FUTURE OF HORSE RACING IN THE STATE AND AT AQUEDUCT

Queens, NY, February 7, 2010 -- The Senate Committee on Racing, Gaming & Wagering held a hearing in Albany on the future of horse racing and gaming in New York State.  Chaired by Senator John J. Bonacic (R-Middletown), the Senate panel included  Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. (D-Queens), a member of the committee.
