Senator Kathleen A. Marchione (R,C-Halfmoon) recently met with Emily Smith, a student at the Albany Academy for Girls. Ms. Smith recently toured the State Capitol and met with Senator Marchione on the Floor of the historic State Senate Chamber.
I am pleased to announce the 2014 Golden Apple Teacher of Excellence Award. I will be recognizing some of our best teachers from across the 43rd Senate District, which includes Columbia County and portions of Rensselaer, Saratoga and Washington Counties.
Students, parents and educators are all invited to nominate a teacher for recognition this year.
Nominees will receive a New York State Senate Teacher of Excellence Award certifi cate and be honored at a special recognition ceremony on Thursday, June 5, 2014.
