SENATOR LAVALLE MAKES HOMEOWNERS AWARE OF NEW CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM REQUIREMENTS

Senator Kenneth P. LaValle wants New York State residents to be aware that “Amanda’s Law” became effective February 22, 2010.  The law requires all residences with appliances, devices, or systems that emit carbon monoxide to have a carbon monoxide detector installed.

Senator Kenneth P. LaValle is encouraging taxpayers to file their 2010 personal income tax returns electronically.  The Department of Taxation and Finance has reported that nearly 95 percent of New York taxpayers are filing electronically with no adverse effects.
