Brooklyn, NY- On Thursday, November 7, 2013, Senator Kevin Parker was declared one of the ‘Kings of Kings County’ at the 3rd Annual Kings of Kings County - A Champions Breakfast Awards & Networking Event. The awards breakfast was held at El Caribe Country Club this year. The purpose of the award is to recognize Brooklyn’s most influential male change agents; people whose major achievements, leadership and participation in the community help strengthen the city. The awards ceremony was attended by hundreds of guests, and preceded by a business expo where business and community leaders had opportunities to network.
In a letter to President Barack Obama, Senator Kevin Parker (D 21) describes the magnitude of Brooklyn's health care crisis, its looming fiscal challenges, and requests of the President that Brooklyn receives its $10 billion in waiver money from the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) which has not yet been granted.
