"I know many of us are worried about the impact of the swine influenza A (H1N1) virus on our families and our community, especially our school community. Obviously, our first concern is that we keep our children and our families as safe as possible. It is important to remember that the most effective way to fight any disease is through prevention. State Senator Parker opened his office doors to women over 40 for a free breast cancer screening, as well as blood glucose and blood pressure on-site testing.

People suffering from Sickle Cell  require blood transfusions throughout their lives.
