Senator Lee M. Zeldin (R-C-I, Shirley) today joined Senate Republican Leader Dean Skelos, and Senators Chuck Fuschillo, Jack Martins, Carl Marcellino, and Kemp Hannon, as well as Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, to announce funding for the expansion of the PFC Joseph Dwyer PTSD Peer-to-Peer Veterans Counseling program to Nassau County. The continuation and expansion of the PFC Joseph Dwyer PTSD Peer-to-Peer Veterans Counseling program was approved as part of the 2013-14 state budget.

Senator Lee Zeldin Honors East Patchogue Veteran Eric Carver In Albany

Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I- Shirley) recently honored Master Sergeant (MSgt.) Eric Carver of East Patchogue, as his 2013 inductee to the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was created to honor and recognize outstanding veterans from the Empire State who have distinguished themselves both in military and civilian life.

In April 2013, MSgt. Carver completed his 27th year of combined U.S. Air Force service between active duty service and Air National Guard service.

Senator Lee Zeldin Attends Military Family Appreciation Day

Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I—Shirley) attended the first ever Military Family Appreciation Day at Heckscher State Park this past Sunday, July 28th. The event was organized by the Soldiers Project, a group that offers free, confidential counseling for military members and their families.

Senator Lee Zeldin Visits Tangier Smith Elementary School Veterans Day Celebration

Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I—Shirley) stopped by the Tangier Smith Elementary School Friday to take part in their Veterans Day Celebration.

A veteran himself and current Major in the Army Reserves, Senator Zeldin stood alongside some of our nation’s finest as they were presented with ‘thank you cards’ from the students for their dedicated service to our country.
