Senator Grisanti Names Kevin Meehan 'Veteran Of The Month'

New York State Senator Mark Grisanti is proud to announce Kevin Joseph Meehan, Jr. is the first recipient of his "Veteran of the Month" recognition program.

 

Meehan becomes the first of what will be twelve recipients of a prestigious honor that is presented by Senator Grisanti following an application and nomination process involving the staff who work in Grisanti's veterans liaison office, which is based in the senator's district office.

Senator Grisanti Names Jack O’Connor ‘Veteran Of The Month’

New York State Senator Mark Grisanti is proud to announce Jack O’Connor is the second recipient of his “Veteran of the Month” recognition program.

O’Connor, a resident of the Village of Kenmore, becomes the second of what will be twelve recipients of an honor presented by Senator Grisanti following an application and nomination process coordinated by staff members who work in Grisanti’s veterans liaison office.

“I am happy to recognize Jack for his outstanding service to his country,” said Senator Grisanti. “He is one of our outstanding veterans living in Western New York who is a positive role model for us all. I encourage all of my constituents to look up to and admire Jack for all that he has done for his nation.”

Senator Grisanti Names Loretta Thomas ‘Veteran of the Month’

New York State Senator Mark Grisanti is proud to announce Loretta S. Thomas is the third recipient of his “Veteran of the Month” recognition program.

Retired Colonel Thomas, a resident of the Town of Hamburg, is the third recipient of a monthly honor presented by Senator Grisanti following an application and nomination process coordinated by staff members who work in Grisanti’s veterans liaison office.

“I am pleased to recognize Loretta with this honor, especially because March is National Women’s History Month,” said Senator Grisanti. “She is a shining example of dedication, hard work and sacrifice and I commend her for her long career of distinguished service.”

Grisanti Names Tonawanda Resident Joseph Chudoba 'Veteran Of The Month'

New York State Senator Mark Grisanti recently announced Joseph Gregory Chudoba as the fourth recipient of his "Veteran of the Month" recognition program.

 

Airman First Class Chudoba, a resident of Tonawanda, is the fourth recipient of a monthly honor presented by Senator Grisanti following an application and nomination process coordinated by staff members in Grisanti's veterans liaison office.

Grisanti Sponsored Bill To Award Diplomas To All Veterans

Senator Mark Grisanti (R,I-60) announced passed legislation (S6292) today that he sponsored that would make all veterans eligible for "Operation Recognition," which allows veterans to be awarded a high school degree based on their knowledge and experience gained while in the military.

Local veterans honored for their service

Members of the Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 77 recently presented caps of the five armed services at the “Missing Man Table Ceremony” as the VA marked Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day in Buffalo.

Among those who were honored were Silviu Dan of North Tonawanda and J. Donald Griffin of Cheektowaga, who also received special recognition for their military service from New York State Senator Mark Grisanti.
