Senator Mark Grisanti ( R,I-60) has introduced a bill that would increase criminal penalties to those who abuse or kill animals during the commission of a felony.

Just recently, according to The Buffalo News an “incident occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Monday and 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, when the resident returned home to find that the front door of his Woodlawn Avenue home had been kicked in. The resident also found his dog stabbed, and Northeast District police said the dog died of its injuries.”

Senator Grisanti (R,I-60) invites you to share your input on "The Future of the Buffalo Skyway," a roundtable of stakeholders that will examine the best practices moving forward with the Skyway.

We would like to address a number of issues including access to the Inner and Outer Harbor, Ohio St and Furhman Blvd, the role that the Skyway plays with regards to business, the cost effectiveness of the overall maintenance of the Skyway versus the removal of it, and what could be developed on the waterfront if the Skyway is removed.

Third legislative priority as part of ‘Four-Legged Legislative Priorities’ during Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month

Senator Mark Grisanti (R, I-60) today announced he will continue his efforts to increase certain penalties for aggravated cruelty to animals and is urging his colleagues in the New York State Legislature to pass legislation that has been deemed “Phoenix’s Law.”

Senator Mark Grisanti (R, I-60) will receive the prestigious 2013 Liberty Bell Award, the highest award that is bestowed at the Annual Law Day Luncheon of the Bar Association of Erie County.

The award, established in 1964, recognizes community service that has strengthened the American system of freedom under the law and acknowledges outstanding contributions to the effective functioning of our institutions of government.

The award will be presented Tuesday April 30 to Senator Grisanti at a luncheon held at Statler Towers in the City of Buffalo. Receiving the award in his absence (Session Day in Albany) is his Father, Richard Grisanti, who has been practicing law for over 50 years.

Senator Grisanti sponsors bill that protects children during "National Child Abuse Prevention Month"    (Buffalo, New York) Senator Mark Grisanti (R, I-60) is proud to announce the passage of the "protect our children act," which helps to protect children from cruel and repeated maltreatment. It is now time for the Assembly to act.    The bill, which was sponsored by Senator Grisanti, originally passed the Senate last year but did not pass the Assembly in 2012.   "This legislation will help to protect our children from anyone who is put in a position of trust to care for them and instead commits the ultimate violation and in some way abuses them," said Sen. Grisanti.
