Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) will join Michael McLear and family members, for a press conference tomorrow, Friday, June 10, 2011, at 12:00 p.m., at the corner of 92nd Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway in Brooklyn, asking for the public’s help in an effort to finally resolve the case that led to the death of his mother, Donna and his sister, Michelle, 17 years ago.
Donna Blanchard and Michelle Blanchard were killed at this corner in a hit and run by a driver of a box truck on June 7, 1994. This week, marks the 17th Anniversary of their death. Donna was 43 years old and Michelle was 4 years old at the time of their death.

Brooklyn - State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is announcing plans to host his annual “Support Our Troops” rally on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Marine Park, at Avenue S and East 33rd Street.
Residents of the community are invited to join with veterans and family members of active servicemen and women in sending a message of support to our troops both home and overseas. The event will feature inspirational speeches and a patriotic musical selection. American flags will be distributed to all those in attendance.
Senator Golden stated, “I wholeheartedly offer my continuing gratitude to our service men and women. We must continue to gather as a community so to recognize the sacrifices that have been made in the name of freedom and liberty.”
