SENATOR GOLDEN TOURS SCHOOL EXPANSION PROJECT AT PUBLIC SCHOOL 229
Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C, Brooklyn) last week visited the construction site at Public School 229, and met with Principal James Harrigan, to discuss the status of the expansion currently underway to expand the capacity of the school which will make P.S. 229 a K-8 school. The construction at P.S. 229 will help to reduce overcrowding in local District 20 schools.

Recently, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced an expected year end surplus of $220 million which would be used to allow subway fares to remain at current levels.
