 Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) in conjunction with the Visiting Nurse Service, will offer 400 free flu shots to the community on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 pm at the Bay Ridge Manor, located at 476-76th Street.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "I am proud to once again partner with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York to make available the flu vaccination to this community at no cost. It is so important that everyone who should get a flu shot does in fact get the vaccination.”

SENATOR GOLDEN REMINDS COMMUNITY TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG OR FACE INCREASED FINE

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is reminding local residents of a law that went into effect last October, (Chapter 153 of 2008) that increased the maximum fine for non compliance with canine waste laws from $100 to $250 per violation.      Senator Golden, who supported the legislation which amended a law passed in 1986, was recently contacted regarding the problem of dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs.

Golden (R,C,I- Brooklyn) has called for the Governor to include legislation that would allow voters to consider a constitutional convention as early as this November.  Golden has introduced S.6065 which would limit costs to taxpayers for a constitutional convention as well as encouraging maximum citizen participation.
