SENATOR MARTY GOLDEN: SENIOR CITIZEN RENT INCREASE EXEMPTION PROGRAM (SCRIE) INCOME ELIGIBILITY INCREASED TO $29,000

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, 22nd District), is informing those 62 years and older that the new income eligibility for the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE) program is $29,000.           Senator Golden stated, “We have made available the opportunity so that more seniors of the City of New York can reap the benefits of the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption Program.

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) recently hosted a senior breakfast meeting with seniors at the Vegas Diner. The meeting was a chance for Senator Golden to speak about issues facing the community and to address concerns.

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C, Brooklyn) is announcing his plans to host a Senior Picnic in conjunction with the Shore Road Garden Council, in the Garden at 91st Street and Shore Road, on Thursday, September 24, 2009, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event will feature live music and lunch will be served.

SENATOR GOLDEN PARTNERS WITH THE VISITING NURSE SERVICE TO OFFER FREE FLU SHOTS

 Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) in conjunction with the Visiting Nurse Service, will offer 400 free flu shots to the community on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 pm at the Bay Ridge Manor, located at 476-76th Street.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "I am proud to once again partner with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York to make available the flu vaccination to this community at no cost. It is so important that everyone who should get a flu shot does in fact get the vaccination.”
