SENATOR GOLDEN REMINDS COMMUNITY TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG OR FACE INCREASED FINE

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is reminding local residents of a law that went into effect last October, (Chapter 153 of 2008) that increased the maximum fine for non compliance with canine waste laws from $100 to $250 per violation.      Senator Golden, who supported the legislation which amended a law passed in 1986, was recently contacted regarding the problem of dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs.

SENATOR GOLDEN PLANTS A TREE IN BROOKLYN TO COMMEMORATE ARBOR DAY

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today commemorated New York State’s celebration of Arbor Day by donating a Pink Dogwood tree that was planted in the garden next to the entrance of the new extension constructed at Public School 229.

Senator Golden was joined by Public School 229 Principal Robert Zappulla and Assistant Principal Jared Shapiro. Students of the 3rd Grade participated in the ceremony which was organized to recognize the importance of trees and the impact they make in our lives.
