Albany – Senator Michael F. Nozzolio recently announced that Mitch Pawluk, a 2003 graduate of Webster-Schroeder High school has joined his Albany staff as an intern for the 2006 legislative session. Mitch is currently a junior at SUNY Albany and is majoring in Political Science with a minor in English and History and currently carries a GPA of 3.65.

Senator Nozzolio Announces Senate And Assembly Agree On Additional Heap Funds

Albany – New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) today announced that the Senate and the Assembly have reached a Legislative agreement to provide $100 million in emergency funds for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). “With half of winter remaining and energy costs through the roof, paying the heating bill is still a very serious problem for thousands of senior citizens and low income New Yorkers,” Senator Nozzolio said.

Senator Nozzolio Announces The Continuation Of The Purple Heart Stamp

Albany— New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) today announced that the stamp commemorating the Purple Heart medal will be reissued at the new postage rate. The price of a first-class stamp increased to 39 cents on Jan. 8, so new issues of the Purple Heart stamp will carry that price. “The Purple Heart Stamp is a reflection of our pride and dedication to the men and women of our Armed Forces who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country,” Senator Nozzolio said.

Senator Nozzolio Secures $100,000 For Town Of Aurelius And New Marriott Hotel To Create Jobs And Enhance Tourism

Aurelius – Working aggressively to create new jobs for the Finger Lakes region, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) announced that he has secured a $100,000 State transportation grant for the Town of Aurelius to be used at the site of a new 119 room Marriott Hotel. The new Marriott Springhill Inn & Suites will include a 300-seat conference center and Houlihan’s restaurant.

Senator Nozzolio Delivers $125,000 For Lansing Community Recreational Center

Senator Nozzolio Announces $2.4 Billion Property Tax Relief Plan

Albany – In an effort to reduce the enormous burden of some of the highest property taxes in the country, Senator Nozzolio announced that the Senate Majority Conference today proposed the REBATE-NY plan, a comprehensive, 25 point plan to provide more than $2.4 billion in school and municipal property tax relief over the next three years, including direct rebate checks to property taxpayers, expanding the STAR program and the property tax circuit breaker, and encouraging consolidation of local government services.

Clyde--Citing the importance of downtown revitalization efforts, State Senator Michael F. Senator Nozzolio Secures $20,000 For New Wayne County Veterans Van

Lyons – Continuing his commitment to New York State’s veterans, State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) today announced that he has secured a $20,000 New York State grant to purchase a new transport vehicle for Wayne County. The new van was necessary to replace the old van that had been taken out of service. The new van will allow the County to continue the provide this necessary transportation service to veterans who need transportation to the Syracuse V.A. for medical treatment while avoiding costly repairs and expense to Wayne County.
