Senator Nozzolio Announces Improvements At Casey Park In Auburn

Auburn— Stressing the importance of providing recreational opportunities for Auburn’s youths and residents, New York State Senator Michael Nozzolio today announced a list of improvements to be made at Casey Park. The improvements will be paid for through a $200,000 state grant that Senator Nozzolio secured for the City of Auburn in March.Senator Nozzolio delivered the funding in March to reline Casey Park pool, allowing the pool to re-open for the summer.

Senator Nozzolio Delivers $50,000 For Village Of Palmyra

Palmyra— State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio announced today that he has secured $50,000 in state funding for the Village of Palmyra to build a boat launch on the Canal. The funding that was announced today is in addition to a $20,000 state grant that Senator Nozzolio secured last year that allowed the Village to create a comprehensive plan for developing their waterfront. "I'm very pleased that I was able to deliver this critical state funding and continue my commitment to the development of Palmyra’s waterfront," said Senator Nozzolio.

Nozzolio Announces $20,000 Grant For Village Of Port Byron

Auburn—State Senator Michael Nozzolio announced today that the Village of Port Byron is the recipient of a $20,000 grant to help facilitate several energy-efficiency projects at the Municipal Building, the Department of Public Works, the Fire House and the Wastewater Treatment Plant. “All of the buildings and plants will undergo retrofitted lighting improvements that will save the Village 25 percent a year in electric bills,” Senator Nozzolio said.

Senator Nozzolio Announces $400,000 For Local Downtown Revitalization Programs

Albany— Citing the importance of downtown revitalization efforts, State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio has announced the Geneva and Williamson Business Improvement Districts will both receive a $200,000.00 grant through the New York Main Street Program. The funding will be used for façade renovation, interior building renovations, and streetscape improvements in their downtown areas.

Senator Nozzolio Achieves State Approval To Provide Funding To Rebuild Haiti Island Bridge

Mentz – New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio announced today that he has identified state funding to construct a new permanent bridge for residents of Haiti Island in the town of Mentz. The funding will come from a previously approved capital transportation fund. At the end of July, a significant portion of the original Haiti Island Bridge collapsed and fell into the Seneca River. That collapse prompted the immediate closure of the bridge and as a result, all vehicle traffic has been suspended.

Mentz – After meeting with the residents of Haiti Island, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio is calling for Governor Spitzer to declare a state of emergency in the Town of Mentz. Senator Nozzolio Fights For Property Tax Relief

Albany - In an effort to provide additional property tax relief for senior citizens, New York State Senator Michael Nozzolio and his colleagues in the State Senate have passed legislation (S.6417) to double the size of direct property tax rebate checks for senior citizen homeowners this year, returning about $200 million to New York’s senior citizens. In addition, the legislation would eliminate, starting next year, the means test that requires homeowners to apply for the rebate this year.

“Senator Mike Nozzolio Day” With The Webster Yankees To Be Held This Sunday

Webster– State Senator Michael Nozzolio will be hosting a day of baseball with the Webster Yankees this Sunday, July 22nd at the Webster Thomas High School Baseball Field. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm when the Yankees take on the Niagara Falls Power.

Free tickets will be available at the game and the public is encouraged to attend. Due to limited bleacher seating, all those attending the game are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Webster Thomas High School is located at 800 Five Mile Line Road.
