Webster- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently visited the newly opened Dairy Queen on Hard Road in Webster where he had the opportunity to congratulate owner Mark Goldberg on the addition of a third location in Monroe County. The new Dairy Queen will employ over 100 people and the business will help to support the revitalization of the local economy and the Monroe County region.

Phelps- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently visited the Phelps Community Memorial Library where he had the opportunity to view the new S.T.E.A.M. Lab room. The S.T.E.A.M. Lab, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) will provide full access to innovative and creative tools and technologies for people of all ages. Senator Nozzolio assisted the library by providing the state funding that allowed the library to expand its programs and services. Last year, Senator Nozzolio was named a “Top Supporter” by New Yorkers for Better Libraries for his support of legislation to improve our local library systems.
Phelps- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently visited the Phelps Art Center where he had the opportunity to meet Stan Munro, an artist who works solely with toothpicks and has created several very unique and noteworthy pieces. His exhibit, "Toothpick World" consists of over 100 replicas of significant world importance. The artist was recently recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the tallest toothpick structure. The Phelps Arts Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Geneva- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently joined Assemblyman Brian Kolb and Geneva City officials to commemorate the 13th anniversary of September 11th and the worst terrorist attack on American soil. Senator Nozzolio addressed the need to remember and acknowledge the lives of those who lost their lives that day as well as to recognize those individuals who continue to fight and sacrifice for our Nation’s freedom and safety around the world. Senator Nozzolio also recognized Joanne Galvin and her late husband Steve Galvin for the design of their 9/11 flag to commemorate the victims of September 11, 2001.

Farmington- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently spoke at the Farmington Veterans of Vietnam War 50th Year Commemoration where he thanked all the veterans who have served our Nation. There are approximately 170 Vietnam Veterans residing in the Farmington area.
Webster- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated in the dedication of the new First Responders Spray Park in Webster. The Park is an extension of the first responders playground honoring Michael Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowka, and is dedicated to all the First Responders and their families in the community.
Webster- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently attended Webster Village Days where he thanked the organizations and individuals involved for all their hard work in making Village Days such a success. Webster Village Days is an annual two-day event promoted by the Webster Business Improvement District. The event brings in visitors and local residents who support the local economy through the purchase of food, crafts, antiques, and other products.
Ovid- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented a special NYS Resolution which he authored to David Griffith upon the occasion of his retirement after 47 years of distinguished service to the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library in Ovid. David has served as the custodian since the Library moved to its present building and location in 1961.
Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented a special NYS Resolution to Nancy Sarratori, a local hero within the Seneca Falls community. Born in Realmonte, Italy, in 1932, Nancy emigrated to the United States with her parents, Vincenzo and Nunziata Fiannaca. Through a belief in hard work and perseverance, she has become an exemplary American citizen, and a treasured member of her community.
Palmyra- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently visited the Wayne County Fair in Palmyra, where he met with Pam Ferranti, President of the Wayne County Fair Board of Directors, as well as members of the Fair Court including Wayne County Dairy Princesses and Apprentices. Senator Nozzolio acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the hundreds vendors, volunteers and local organizations that help to make this annual event such a success. The Fair brings in visitors from around the region as well as local residents and helps to support the local economy.
Farmington- Senator Mike Nozzolio took part in the dedication of the new Farmington Justice Court Building. The building was built using funds from the State’s VLT Impact Aid program, which provides over $1.5 million to assist the town of Farmington and Ontario County with the costs of maintaining Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) at the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack.
Clyde- Senator Mike Nozzolio attended the Finger Lakes Construction open house where he helped to cut the ribbon on the new Structural Insulated Panel. Finger Lakes Construction was founded in 1969 by Frank Brisky. Taking over as President in 1982, son Bob has taken the company from a small family business to a multi-million dollar enterprise and expanded from one to four locations.
Seneca Falls- Senator Mike Nozzolio was a featured speaker at the formal ceremony at Goulds Pumps to announce the completion of their $27 million expansion and the creation of 50 new jobs. The 89,000-square-foot facility includes facilities for the testing and packaging of highly engineered pump systems for the oil, gas, petrochemical and mining industries.
Geneva- Senator Mike Nozzolio attended the Sons of Italy Festival in Geneva, where he acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the hundreds of volunteers that make this annual event such a success. The Sons of Italy is the largest and oldest national organization for men and women of Italian heritage in the United States.
Canandaigua- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated in the announcement of RGRTA’s agreement with Ontario County for bus service. Ontario is the eighth county to join the service providing an inter-county transportation system, which also includes Seneca, Monroe, and Wayne counties.

Seneca Falls- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented a special New York State Resolution, which was formally adopted in the New York State Senate, honoring Peter and Gretchen Koch as the recipients of the 2014 Seneca Falls Community Service Award. The award is given out annually during Convention Days in Seneca Falls. Peter and Gretchen were recognized for their service to the Seneca Falls Historical Society, St. Patrick’s School, the Seneca County Children’s Committee, the Seneca Falls Library, and the House of Concern.

Newark- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented Javon McCrea with a special New York State Resolution honoring the announcement of Javon being named the 2014 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year. Javon, a recent graduate of the University at Buffalo (UB), played four years for the UB Men’s Basketball team and was named Captain in both his junior and senior years.. Senator Nozzolio has followed Javon's career from his high school years at Newark High School and recently joined him at his 2014 Basketball Academy camp at the Alex Eligh Community Center in Newark. Javon will begin his professional basketball career in Europe.

Macedon- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently addressed members of the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation to support their efforts to send three veterans to the 5th annual Upland NY Bird Hunt and Couples Retreat in Lyons, New York. The event features world-class outdoor sporting activities as a way to recognize and honor members of our military for their sacrifice and commitment to our Nation. The retreat promotes healing and wellness through camaraderie and a shared passion for the outdoors. The three veterans are all recipients of the Purple Heart and have suffered traumatic injuries while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Lodi- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with the Lodi Whittier Library Board of Trustees to discuss their plans for expansion. Senator Nozzolio is a strong supporter of the Library and the important programs and services provided to the local community. Last year, Senator Nozzolio was named a “Top Supporter” by New Yorkers for Better Libraries for his support of legislation to improve public library systems.
