Waterloo - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented LaVerne Sessler III with a special New York State Resolution commemorating his achievement in earning the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, the highest and most prestigious honor in Scouting. The formal Resolution was adopted in the New York State Senate on March 29, 2011.

Senator Nozzolio congratulated Geneva High School Sophomore Melissa Marquez for being named the Geneva Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year in recognition of her outstanding community service, academic success and leadership qualities. Melissa has made the honor roll consistently since sixth grade and participates in a number of educational programs with the Club, as well as the Leaders’ Project at Hobart & William Smith College. She plans on attending college to study biochemistry.
Senator Mike Nozzolio recently stopped by the Fairville Fire Department to support their annual Lenten Friday night dinners. This is the 20th year that the Department has coordinated the event. Albany- Continuing his efforts to support individuals with disabilities, State Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with Michelle Fridley of Canandaigua, who was named Ms. Wheelchair New York for her advocacy on behalf of disabled citizens living independently in their communities. Senator Nozzolio authored a special legislative resolution honoring Michelle for winning the Ms. Wheelchair New York pageant and participating in the national pageant in Michigan. Michelle visited the State Capital with other local representatives of the Center for Disability Rights, of which she is an active member.
Palmyra - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently spoke at the annual Port Gibson Fire Department dinner where he recognized several of the volunteers for their outstanding service to the community.

Albany- Senator Nozzolio congratulated Auburn Second Grade student Abby Franchina for having her portrait of her dog “Maxine” selected to appear in the New York State Art Teachers Association Student Art Exhibition. The Art Teachers Association holds the exhibition as part of its annual reception in Albany where State Legislators, students, parents and teachers share in the artistic accomplishments of the young aspiring artists in their communities.
Albany- Senator Nozzolio congratulated the South Seneca Elementary School Fifth Grade Swing Chorus for being invited to perform at the State Capitol as part of the New York State School Music Association’s Music In Our Schools Month. The chorus members, who were joined in Albany by parents and Chorus Director Diane Dersch, greeted Senator Nozzolio with an impromptu performance of “God Bless America”.
Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with Joshua Singlemann and Adam Jensen, who were awarded the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. Senator Nozzolio presented each of them with special New York State Resolutions, recognizing their leadership, dedication to our Nation and commitment to public service.

ALBANY- Senator Nozzolio and Assemblyman Sean Hanna congratulate the Victor Blue Devils Boys Volleyball Team, who won the first ever New York State Division II Championship for boys volleyball after defeating Eastport South Manor High School. The team was lead by Head Coach Dave Wisniewski and Assistant Coach Jake Martin.
Senator Nozzolio congratulates the Victor Marching Blue Devils Band, who won the 2010 New York State Championship with a near-perfect score at the New York State Field Band Conference Championships. The team also earned a trip to Annapolis, Maryland for the United States Scholastic Band Association Championships, where they placed 4th in their division. Joining the team in Albany was Field Band Director Eric Everhart and Field Band Assistant Rhonda Everhart.
Senator Nozzolio recently had the opportunity to speak at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner. Senator Nozzolio presented the Fragnoli Family with a special New York State Resolution at the event to honor their business, Super Casuals, for being named “Business of the Year.”

State Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with youth representatives from Reality Check during the group’s visit to Albany. The Reality Check members discussed the tobacco industry’s attempts to target young people and efforts to educate teens on the dangers of smoking.
Geneva - Over 500 supporters recently attended Senator Mike Nozzolio's swearing in ceremony at Ventosa Winery. The Oath of Office was administered by long time friend, Judge Richard Wesley. Judge Wesley currently serves on the 2nd highest court in the Country, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated in the grand opening of the new Lyons National Bank branch in Waterloo. The bank has hired additional staff and its new location will play an important part in the economic Development of Seneca County.

Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with Anita Fitzgerald to congratulate her for receiving the prestigious George Bailey Award, an annual award given to a Seneca Falls resident who exemplifies the spirit of George Bailey. Among her many accomplishments, Anita worked with the Seneca Falls Historical Society to record and preserve the records of generations of Seneca Falls residents.
Each year, the Daughters of the American Revolution honors young men and women with the Good Citizen Award. This award is presented to young people who have sought to embrace the resilient spirit of our Nation. Senator Nozzolio recently had the opportunity to meet with this year’s winners and congratulate them for their outstanding achievements.
