Newark -Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated in the opening of the Terrace at Newark, a newly built assisted living center for residents of Wayne County. The Terrace at Newark is the only licensed assisted living center in the county.
Palmyra - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented a special New York State Resolution that he enacted in the New York State Senate to honor Palmyra Supervisor David Lyon. David served Wayne County residents for over 36 years, 18 years as Town Councilman and 18 years as Town Supervisor.

Geneva - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently honored two Hobart & William Smith athletic coaches for their records of achievement. Senator Nozzolio presented New York State Senate Resolutions to Pat Genovese of Geneva who was recently inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Sally Scatton of Trumansburg who will be inducted into the National Field Hockey Association Hall of Fame in January.

Lyons - Senator Mike Nozzolio and Assemblyman Bob Oaks recently presented a special New York State Resolution honoring Jimmy Fabino in recognition of his service for the past 24 years as the Supervisor for the Town of Lyons and more than 50 years of distinguished public service. Senator Nozzolio also recognized Supervisor Fabino with a New York State flag that had been flown over the State Capitol in Albany.

Rochester - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented Dave Herbst with a special Resolution enacted in the New York State Senate upon Dave’s designation as recipient of the Richard Warboys Special Humanitarian Award by the Rochester Boxing Hall of Fame. Dave’s lifelong connection to sports also includes ownership and management of the Geneva Red Wings.

Lodi - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently recognized Lodi Town Clerk Lois Jennings and Lodi Tax Collector, Marty David for their many years of public service to the Town of Lodi. Senator Nozzolio presented Lois with a special New York State Senate Resolution commemorating 48 years of dedicated service. Senator Nozzolio also presented a special New York State Senate Resolution to Marty David for his 14 years of dedicated service to the Town.

Recently, I had the opportunity to speak before the members of the Between the Lakes Friends of the NRA organization and to share my strong opposition to the increase in licensing fees that have been unfairly leveled against sportsmen in New York State.

Wolcott - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently recognized Huron Town Clerk Shirley Eygnor for over 20 years of public service to the Town of Huron. Senator Nozzolio presented Shirley with a special New York State Senate Resolution commemorating her 20 years of service to the residents in the Town of Huron.

Victory - Red Creek’s American Legion Peterson-Hall Post #436 recently recognized Senator Mike Nozzolio for his efforts in sponsoring legislation to rename Route 38 as the "Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor". The Legion Post presented Senator Nozzolio with a Certificate of Appreciation during the Town of Victory’s Veteran's Day celebration.

Geneva - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with students from St. Francis-St. Stephen School during Geneva's annual ziti dinner. Profits from the dinner will help to sponsor the students' trip to Washington, D.C. later this year.

Contributing to public service, and providing special attention to those who serve in our military are two issues I value highly. Webster Montessori students continue to impress me by selflessly donating their Halloween candy to our troops serving overseas. As in years past, I am pleased to once again assist them in their benevolence by providing the funds to ship the candy to those men and women in our armed forces.
Union Springs - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently joined members of the Union Springs community to celebrate the official opening of the newly restored Stone Schoolhouse. Senator Nozzolio was instrumental in securing the New York State funding needed to refurbish the building which was on the verge of demolition. The building now houses a video production studio that gives students hands on experience and training.
Phelps - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently recognized the service of United States Marine Corporal Joshua Merkle upon his return to the states from Afghanistan. Senator Nozzolio presented Cpl. Merkle with a New York State flag that has previously been flown over the Capitol building in Albany.

Chambers of Commerce play a vital role in the support and expansion of business enterprise in our communities. I was fortunate to have an opportunity to address the members of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce recently and thank them for their efforts at their 100th anniversary dinner.
