Growing up here and educated in our local schools, I have always held a deeply-felt pride in our community. That pride only intensified after graduating high school, and attending two outstanding universities right here in our region- Cornell and Syracuse.
Continuing his commitment to cut bureaucratic State regulations that impede job growth, State Senator Mike Nozzolio today announced that the Senate has adopted legislation (S.6063-A) he co-sponsored to remove an onerous wage reporting mandate that has cost private sector job creators millions and made our State less competitive.

Continuing his fight to enhance law enforcement efforts across the State, Senator Mike Nozzolio is co-sponsoring legislation (S.5560-A) that has been adopted in the State Senate providing for the largest expansion of New York’s DNA databank since it was created in 1994. The legislation would require individuals convicted of any felony or any misdemeanor in the penal law to submit DNA samples to the databank.

Yesterday, the State Legislature adopted legislation I co-sponsored (S.5917), known as the Iran Divestment Act. This Actwould prohibit companies that provide goods, services or credit worth $20 million or more to Iran's energy industry from entering into or renewing State and local government contracts.
Following Governor Cuomo’s 2012 State of the State Address, State Senator Mike Nozzolio met with local firefighters and emergency response personnel who were invited to represent their communities at the event.
