The New York State Senate today voted to enact important legislation co-sponsored by State Senator Mike Nozzolio(S.4005) that will require accident and health insurance policies to provide coverage for screening, diagnosis and treatment for patients with autism spectrum disorders. The legislation has been adopted in both houses of the State Legislature and only awaits Governor Cuomo’s signature to become law.
Albany- Senator Nozzolio recently welcomed the students of Port Byron High School’s Street Law and Leadership class and their instructor, Dr. Linda Townsend to the State Capitol. Senator Nozzolio met with CNY Central reporter Jim Kenyon to discuss Brittany’s Law, which would create a statewide registry tracking violent felony offenders. Joining Senator Nozzolio was Dale Driscoll of Geneva, whose granddaughter Brittany Passalacqua was murdered by a violent convicted felon.

Senator Nozzolio recently met with youth representatives from the Cayuga and Seneca 4-H Clubs as part of the 2011 4-H Capital Days, where 4-H members visit Albany to discuss the importance of agriculture, our State’s top job-producing industry. Senator Nozzolio also welcomed the young 4 H members to the floor of the historic New York State Senate Chamber.
