"So God Made a Farmer"

In the Finger Lakes region, agriculture is the backbone of our economy and local communities. Virtually every business, family and individual in our region directly or indirectly depends on agriculture, the single largest job producing enterprise in New York State.

As a strong advocate for New York’s hardworking farm families, I was pleased to see the commitment and dedication of our Nation's farmers recognized during this year’s Superbowl  with the reading of Paul Harvey's “So God Made a Farmer”.  This inspiring tribute is a reminder of the fortitude and determination of our Country's farmers.
