A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

As we approach the anniversary of September 11th and the most horrific terrorist attack on American soil, it is important that we pause to recognize the sacrifices, commitment and dedication of the thousands of Americans who answered the call to duty on that fateful day. Earlier this week, a 70-foot steel column from the World Trade Center was put in place at ground zero in Manhattan.

Newark Rose Parade

Newark- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated in the annual Newark Rose Parade. Senator Nozzolio had the opportunity to meet with members of the Newark Fire Department and to congratulate some of their youngest volunteers for their creative float on fire safety.

SENATOR NOZZOLIO NAMED ONE OF TOP STATE LEGISLATORS BY UNSHACKLE UPSTATE

In recognition of his efforts to support job growth, lower taxes and economic development in Upstate New York, State Senator Mike Nozzolio has been named one of Unshackle Upstate’s top ten Senators for the 2010 legislative session. Senator Nozzolio also received a perfect grading from Unshackle Upstate on his advocacy for taxpayers during the State budget process. The ranking comes as part of Unshackle Upstate’s “Judgment Day” campaign to identify which State legislators acted in the best interests of Upstate New York's taxpayers and job creators.

Thorpe Vineyard Satellite Store

North Rose- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently spoke at and participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Grand Opening for Thorpe Vineyards new satellite store. Senator Nozzolio sponsored legislation to extend the “Lake Ontario Wine Trail” in Wayne County, allowing more local wineries to showcase their products, grow their businesses and attract more tourists to our region.

Author Recognition Day

Senator Mike Nozzolio Night At McDonough Park

Geneva- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently hosted "Senator Mike Nozzolio Community Baseball Night" in Geneva where the Geneva Red Wings took on the Webster Yankees at McDonough Park. Senator Nozzolio sponsored a local food drive in conjunction with the game as a way to collect non-perishable food to support our local food banks.

Recognizing Our Community's True Heroes

Seneca Falls- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently paid special tribute to the men and women of the Seneca Falls police and fire departments. Senator Nozzolio recognized their valuable contribution to the community at the unveiling of the Public Safety Memorial.

Webster Jamboree Troop 316

Webster- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with members of the Webster Jamboree Troop 316 during "Senator Mike Nozzolio Community Baseball Night" at Webster's Yankee Stadium. Senator Nozzolio presented the scouts with a special New York State flag that had been flown over the State Capitol in Albany. The scouts will be attending a national scouting jamboree and will be taking the flag with them as a symbol of New York State.

Webster Fireman’s Parade

Senator Nozzolio is a long time supporter of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Webster High School Marching Band, who also marched in the parade.
