Wolcott - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated in "Firefighter Appreciation Day" at Lake Bluff campgrounds in Wolcott. During the event, Senator Nozzolio expressed his gratitude for the “True Heroes” of our local communities.

Victor - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently stopped to offer encouragement to members of the Victor Giants before their game last Saturday. Senator Nozzolio serves as a team sponsor for the little league team of 9-11 year old players.

Albany– Senator Nozzolio met with students from the Seward Elementary School during their recent visit to the State Capitol in Albany. The students toured the Capitol and State Museum as a part of their day. Senator Nozzolio explained his role and responsibilities as their New York State Senator and encouraged their participation in public service.
Williamson - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently stopped in at the Pancake Breakfast at the Williamson/Sodus Airport during the Williamson Apple Blossom Festival. Senator Nozzolio is a long time supporter of the airport and the Williamson Flying Club.

Newark - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented a special New York State Resolution that he prepared and enacted in the New York State Senate commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Arcadia Hose Company No. 2. Senator Nozzolio presented the formal Resolution during the Department's annual banquet.

All across New York State, law-abiding citizens have been tightening their belts, cutting spending and foregoing even the smallest luxuries. Everyone has had to sacrifice in these difficult economic times---everyone except those individuals who have broken the law, and are now incarcerated in our State’s prisons.
As the cost of living continues to climb for New Yorkers, so does the cost of incarcerating, rehabilitating and providing health care for New York’s prison inmates.
As a member of the New York State Senate Committee on Crime Victims, Crime, and Corrections, Senator Nozzolio has fought hard to keep New York State’s inmates accountable for their crimes.
Senator Nozzolio has sponsored legislation (S.2404) that would allow New York State to collect a small healthcare copayment for those who could afford to pay. This copayment would discourage fraud and abuse of the healthcare benefits that prisoners enjoy.
Victor - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented the Victor High School Girls Volleyball team with a special New York State Resolution that he prepared and enacted in the State Senate to honor the Lady Blue Devils on their success as 2009 New York State Class A Champions for the second consecutive year.
Waterloo - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently had the honor to present a special New York State Resolution to Jane Cook upon the occasion of her designation as the Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year by the Seneca County Office for the Aging.

Growing up in a working class family with mom, dad, and my two brothers, we didn’t have the best of everything. We did, however, learn very early how to stretch a dollar and the value of hard work and sacrifice. We never felt deprived. When times were tough, my parents, especially my mother, who was the money manager of the family, taught us invaluable and common sense lessons about ways to save money.
New York State could take a lesson from my mother. Times are tough in New York State and it's time to use common sense when it comes to state spending.
Sodus - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently spoke before members of the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps (STAC) at their annual dinner. He acknowledged their outstanding commitment, dedication and service and recognized this year's special award recipients.
Webster - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently recognized and paid tribute to the Lions Club of Webster upon the occasion of their 60th anniversary celebration. Senator Nozzolio presented the humanitarian service organization with a special New York State Resolution commending their diligence and dedication.

Albany- Just three weeks after the disastrous Farm Labor Bill was defeated by the New York State Senate's Committee on Agriculture, virtually the same bill has been reintroduced by New York City legislators, in an attempt to force onerous work regulations onto Upstate New York farmers.
Senator Nozzolio, who adamantly opposed this measure when it was introduced just weeks ago, has indicated that he will continue his opposition to this bill which has been reintroduced without a single meaningful change.
The economic fallout in Greece should be a wake-up call to every citizen in our Nation. If New York State and the United States governments don’t get spending under control now, then like Greece, we may be facing economic insolvency before too long.
Geneva - Senator Mike Nozzolio was recently honored to present the Ralph Springstead Memorial Award to Carl Fribolin at the Geneva Rotary Club’s “Service Above Self Dinner”.
