Geneva - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently honored two Hobart & William Smith athletic coaches for their records of achievement. Senator Nozzolio presented New York State Senate Resolutions to Pat Genovese of Geneva who was recently inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Sally Scatton of Trumansburg who will be inducted into the National Field Hockey Association Hall of Fame in January.
I am very gratified by the response to my annual Holiday Drive for the Troops which has been extended through December 15th. As soon as all the items are collected they will be mailed to our military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Lyons - Senator Mike Nozzolio and Assemblyman Bob Oaks recently presented a special New York State Resolution honoring Jimmy Fabino in recognition of his service for the past 24 years as the Supervisor for the Town of Lyons and more than 50 years of distinguished public service. Senator Nozzolio also recognized Supervisor Fabino with a New York State flag that had been flown over the State Capitol in Albany.

Rochester - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented Dave Herbst with a special Resolution enacted in the New York State Senate upon Dave’s designation as recipient of the Richard Warboys Special Humanitarian Award by the Rochester Boxing Hall of Fame. Dave’s lifelong connection to sports also includes ownership and management of the Geneva Red Wings.

Seneca Falls- New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio continues his unwavering commitment to the brave men and women serving our Nation overseas by hosting his annual Holiday Drive for the Troops. This year, Senator Nozzolio is proudly working with several local leaders to expand the Holiday Drive, including New York State Assemblyman Bob Oaks, New York State Assemblyman Gary Finch, Victor Supervisor Jack Marren and Webster Supervisor Ron Nesbitt.
Lodi - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently recognized Lodi Town Clerk Lois Jennings and Lodi Tax Collector, Marty David for their many years of public service to the Town of Lodi. Senator Nozzolio presented Lois with a special New York State Senate Resolution commemorating 48 years of dedicated service. Senator Nozzolio also presented a special New York State Senate Resolution to Marty David for his 14 years of dedicated service to the Town.

Victory - Red Creek’s American Legion Peterson-Hall Post #436 recently recognized Senator Mike Nozzolio for his efforts in sponsoring legislation to rename Route 38 as the "Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor". Seneca Falls- New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio continues his unwavering commitment to the brave men and women serving our Nation overseas by hosting his annual Holiday Drive for the Troops. Each year during the Holiday Season, Senator Nozzolio collects nonperishable items from the community. The items collected during this year’s drive will be sent overseas to military personnel deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The issues facing our great State are vast. Our solutions must be firm and comprehensive. As a member of the Senate Finance Committee, I will continue to oppose any effort to balance the budget on the backs of Upstate taxpayers just as I opposed the 2009-2010 State budget last April. I have been working hard to address the great issues that are impacting New York, especially those with the greatest consequences for our region:
Geneva - Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with students from St. Francis-St. Stephen School during Geneva's annual ziti dinner. Profits from the dinner will help to sponsor the students' trip to Washington, D.C. later this year.
