Senate Unveils Higher Education Proposals

State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio and members of the State Senate today introduced a comprehensive package of proposals that would make obtaining a college education more affordable for New York’s students. The proposed legislation will help families with soaring tuition expenses and provide new incentives to college students to keep them living and working in New York when they graduate. Senator Nozzolio Announces Owasco Lake Success!

Auburn – New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio today announced that data compiled by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Village of Groton confirm that phosphorous levels in Owasco Lake have drastically decreased since additional protection efforts began in August. Last summer, Senator Nozzolio contacted the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and worked to secure a signed consent order from the Village of Groton to reduce phosphorous discharge into Owasco Lake.

Albany—State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) today announced that the New York State Senate has passed “Timothy’s Law” to provide parity in insurance coverage for mental illnesses.
