SENATOR NOZZOLIO ANNOUNCES 2012 NEW JOBS-NY JOB CREATION PLAN ADOPTED BY STATE SENATE

Continuing his commitment to promoting job creation, tax relief and restoring economic growth, State Senator Mike Nozzolio and his Senate colleagues today adopted the 2012 NEW JOBS-NY Job Creation Plan (S.7448).  The Senate’s comprehensive plan will help create thousands of new private sector jobs by delivering tax relief to small businesses and manufacturers, reducing energy costs, and enacting major fiscal reforms to make New York State more economically competitive.

Senator Nozzolio was the keynote speaker for the Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing Graduation Ceremony

 

Geneva- I was the keynote speaker for the Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing’s 3rd graduation ceremony where I congratulated the graduates and praised them for their hard work and commitment to the field of nursing. The graduates will now become a part of the growing number of individuals employed in the health care profession.

Senator Nozzolio Thanks U.S. Army Corporal Ryan McNally of Romulus for his Service to Our Nation

Senator Nozzolio recently met with U.S. Army Corporal Ryan McNally of Romulus to thank him for his selfless and dedicated service to our Nation. Corporal McNally serves in the Army’s 10th Mountain Division based at Fort Drum and has previously been deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan as a member of the 19th Engineer Battalion. After been wounded in Iraq, he was awarded the prestigious Purple Heart medal for his courageous sacrifice.

DISTINGUISHED LOCAL VETERAN RALPH CALABRESE HONORED BY SENATOR NOZZOLIO AT INDUCTION INTO STATE VETERANS HALL OF FAME

A distinguished local U.S. Army veteran was recently nominated for induction into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame by State Senator Mike Nozzolio. Ralph Calabrese of Canandaigua was honored during a special ceremony at the State Capitol for his courageous service during the Korean War and dedicated advocacy for our local veterans, including leading a successful campaign to save the Canandaigua VA hospital from closing.

Ralph Calabrese

Ralph Calabrese is a great American patriot who not only risked his life serving our nation overseas but, upon returning home, continued to dedicate himself to helping other servicemen and women who did the same. 

When the Korean War started in 1950, Ralph felt the calling to defend his country in its time of need and enlisted in the Army. He bravely served for two years with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea. For his valor and meritorious service during the conflict, Ralph received a number of decorations, including a Bronze Service Star, the Korean Service Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge.

SENATOR NOZZOLIO HONORS PATTI CATALDI AT THE 2012 NEW YORK STATE SENATE WOMEN OF DISTINCTION CEREMONY

In recognition of her extraordinary commitment to promoting women’s healthand community revitalization, Patti Cataldi of Webster is among the outstanding women across New York State who were honored at the 2012 "Women of Distinction" ceremony held today at the State Capitol. Patti, who serves as Chair of the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester Board and is a member of the Webster Town Board, was nominated for this honor by State Senator Mike Nozzolio."It is an honor to present this important recognition to Patti Cataldi.

Patricia T. Cataldi

Patricia T. Cataldi is a lifelong resident of the Rochester area and has called Webster her home for the past 46 years. In recognition of her passion for Main Street revitalization, she was asked to serve on the planning board in 1999 and she was eventually elected to the Village Board in 2004, serving a term of four years. In 2009, Ms. Cataldi was elected to the Town Board of Webster, where she currently serves as the only councilwoman.

STATE SENATE ADOPTS SENATOR NOZZOLIO LEGISLATION REQUIRING INMATE MEDICAL COPAYMENTS

Continuing his fight to protect the taxpayers of New York, State Senator Mike Nozzolio today announced that the Senate has adopted legislation (S.476) he is sponsoring requiring State and county correctional facility inmates to make co-payments for health care visits, the same policy that is in place in the federal prison system and 2/3 of the states.
