Dean Boor updated Senator Nozzolio on the world class research taking place at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva. The research and innovation pioneered at the Experiment Station is playing an integral role in supporting job growth and economic revitalization in our area.

Senator Nozzolio Appointed Chairman of Senate Joint Budget Conference Committee for Public Protection

New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio has been appointed to serve as the Senate Chairman of the Joint Budget Conference Committee for Public Protection.  The Public Protection Budget Conference Committee is responsible for reviewing all aspects of the criminal justice budget, and budgets for correctional services, military and naval affairs, the state police, the judiciary and homeland security.

Senator Nozzolio welcomes Matthew St. Martin to his College Internship Program

Senator Mike Nozzolio welcomed Matthew St. Martin as a law intern in his Capitol office during the 2014 Legislative Session. Senator Nozzolio serves as the Chairman of the Senate Codes Committee and Matthew will assist the committee throughout the session. Matthew is the son of Christine and Stephen St. Martin and is a graduate of Port Byron High School.

Senator Nozzolio Announces Adoption of Legislation to Prevent Welfare Abuse

Continuing his strong commitment to the people in his Senate District, State Senator Mike Nozzolio announced today that legislation he co-sponsored and fought for, has been adopted in the New York State Senate. Senate bill S.966 prohibits the purchase of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products or lottery tickets with public assistance benefits. Senator Nozzolio fought for over 2 years for the passage of this important legislation.

Protecting our Second Amendment rights is a profound responsibility that I have always taken very seriously. That is why, in an effort to lead the fight against Governor Cuomo’s ill-conceived gun control law, I have personally introduced legislation that would REPEAL the so-called Safe Act. My legislation, Senate Bill 5626, repeals the Safe Act but keeps intact the provision in law which mandates life without parole for anyone who murders an emergency responder.
