Senator Nozzolio Congratulates 2011 Wrestling State Champions Craig and Owen Scott

Albany- New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio honored Palmyra-Macedon High School seniors Craig and Owen Scott for each winning the New York State Division II wrestling championship in their respective weight classes. Craig won the championship in the 171-pound division and Owen won for the 160-pound division, the second consecutive state title for both wrestlers.

New York State Senate Crime Victims, Crime and Correction Chairman Mike Nozzolio has announced that the e-STOP Internet safety law has resulted in the removal of more than 24,000 accounts and online profiles linked to registered sex offenders. Senator Nozzolio led the fight in the State Senate to enact e-STOP when it was first established in 2008.

Continuing his aggressive efforts to protect our communities from violent crime, New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio has sponsored legislation (S.3645A) to create a statewide registry tracking violent felony offenders who are released from prison. The legislation, known as “Brittany’s Law”, is named for 12-year-old Brittany Passalacqua, who was murdered along with her mother by a violent convicted felon who had been released from prison early and put on parole just months earlier.
