Ranzenhofer, State Library team up for Senate Summer Reading Program

Urges youngsters to read all summer long

State Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer and the New York State Library have partnered in support of summer reading for children and families to announce the New York State Senate Summer Reading Program for children grades kindergarten through twelve.

Parents can register their child for the program by visiting Senator Ranzenhofer’s website at ranzenhofer.nysenate.gov and clicking on the Summer Reading Program icon.  Once registration is complete, students can read books that they are interested in and enter their information into an online journal.  When a student’s journal has been completed they will receive a Congratulatory Certificate of Completion.

Ranzenhofer sponsors car seat safety check

Parents can get their child’s seat inspected for free

Amherst, N.Y. – State Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer will sponsor a free car seat safety check on Saturday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to Noon at Main Transit Fire Department, 6777 Main Street in Williamsville.

“Every parent knows that installing a car seat can be difficult.  Certified technicians from local police agencies will be on hand to ensure your child’s car seat is safely and properly secured. Even if you think your child’s car seat is already properly installed, it never hurts to double-check,” said Senator Ranzenhofer.
