NY Senate confirms Shah as Department of Health Head; Ranzenhofer congratulates former Williamsville resident

State Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer congratulates Dr. Nirav R. Shah after being unanimously confirmed by the New York State Senate on Monday, January 24 as Commissioner of the Department of Health.  Dr. Shah was valedictorian of the Williamsville East High School Class of 1990.  Governor Andrew Cuomo nominated Dr. Shah for the post on January 3.

Amherst, NY – State Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer has announced today that he will host a Family Health Fair on Saturday, August 4th  from 9 a.m. to noon at the Amherst Senior Center, 370 John James Audubon Parkway.

NYSOS 2012 Legislator of the Year Award

The New York State Ophthalmological Society (NYSOS) has chosen State Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer as the recipient of the organization’s 2012 Outstanding Legislator Award.

The annual award acknowledges one State Senator and State Assembly member for utilizing the legislative process to impress upon others the importance of maintaining the highest quality of medical eye care as a means of protecting and promoting the ocular health and safety of their constituents and all New Yorkers.
