“The Division of Budget’s recent update on the State’s fiscal condition proves to State leaders and all Western New Yorkers that a $12 billion increase in spending, $8.5 billion in new taxes and fees and eliminating STAR rebate checks does not solve a fiscal crisis. More spending, new taxes and fees just don’t work. Instead, they only make matters worse.

Ranzenhofer Announces Safety Outreach Program

State Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer has announced a Safety Outreach Program for Saturday, July 25 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the East Amherst Fire Department, 9100 Transit Road in East Amherst.  The program includes the Selt Belt Convincer, K-9 Demonstrations, a Bicycle Safety Presentation, and Car Seat Safety Checks.

“I invite all families to attend my Safety Outreach Program to learn about ways to stay safe for the summer.  The program provides an excellent way to learn how to keep our children safe during summer break from school,” said Senator Ranzenhofer.

Democrats Hire Nearly 800 Staffers; Continue shameful record of wasteful spending and political patronage

Despite a multi-billion dollar budget deficit and after passing a State Budget that increases spending by $12 Billion and increases taxes and fees by $8 Billion, the New York City dominated State Senate Democrats have hired 772 new employees between January 1, 2009 and April 10th at a cost of almost $3 million, according to a report in today’s New York Daily News.

Ranzenhofer Favors New Law that puts Seniors and Kids Before Criminals; Proposed bill stops criminal records from being hidden

Getzville, NY – Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer added his support to Senate Bill 5684 along with Senator Dale Volker, local school and nursing home officials today which would repeal a provision of the so-called Rockefeller Drug Law Reforms passed by Senate Democrats during the 2009-2010 State Budget.  The provision passed last month allows judges to seal the criminal records of certain felons.
