Fred envisioned and created a tremendous learning environment for students involved in science and technology through the incredibly successful Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics competition.

Half Hollow Hills High School students John Quiwa, Gabriella DiFatta, and Nicole Lombardo recently met with Senator Owen Johnson in his Albany office. The students are members of the high school’s legislative committee and traveled to the State Capitol to discuss issues including education and finance.

Francis Parkan, Past Chief of the East Islip Fire Department was presented with a Citation by Senator Owen H. Johnson in grateful recognition and deep appreciation of his sixty-five years of courageous and dedicated service as a member of the East Islip Fire Department. He was also honored for his unselfish and untiring efforts to make the community of East Islip a safer place to live.
