Mark Davis' family were in the Senate Chamber 5/22 to watch as "Mark's Law" won the Senate's approval in an overwhelming, bipartisan vote.

The photo above shows Mark's brother, Michael; sister, Maricia; Mom, Marsha, and Dad, Larry, with Senator Ritchie, in the Senate Chamber prior to the vote.

"I hope (Mark) gets a chance to hear it, sense it, feel it somehow or someway. Isn't that what makes life worth living? Things like this? When people come together and change things to a better degree. That's what it's all about," said Marsha.

State Senator Patty Ritchie recently met with local members of the New York State Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs in her Albany office.

Konner Murdock of Ogdensburg and Heather Williams of Ft. Drum are finalists for the organization’s 2012 New York State Youth of the Year Award.

Sen. Ritchie and 10th Mountain Commander, Major General Mark Milley, surprised students visiting the State Capitol during the first-ever Fort Drum Day.

Senator Ritchie was invited by 6th grader Ariel Stacy to visit the Fairgrieve Elementary School in Volney.
