Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I,-Pulaski), Ken Blankenbush (R,C,-Black River), Bob Oaks (R,C,-Macedon) and State Senator Patty Ritchie (R,C, - Heuvelton) urged Constellation and its Union leadership to return to the negotiating table.
“I think we all would like to see resolution to the situation so that people get back to work. The only way this can happen is by bringing the parties back to the bargaining table and work on a compromise,” said Assemblyman Barclay. “I have expressed this both to Constellation and to Union Leadership during talks this week. It is my hope that this meeting will take place soon.”

Energy Committee Seeks Ways to Create a 21st Century Energy System to Fuel Growth
State Senator Patty Ritchie joined fellow Senate Energy and Telecommunications Committee members in Western New York Tuesday at a public hearing aimed at finding ways the state can improve its current energy infrastructure and create jobs.
State Senator Patty Ritchie presented an official Senate Resolution to the Sandy Creek Central School District this week, congratulating the district on being named being named one of the top five “Energy STAR” schools in Central New York.
The Sandy Creek Central School District was named an “Energy STAR” school for improving its energy performance, managing energy strategically across the district and making cost-effective, energy-saving improvements.
State Senator Patty Ritchie Tuesday led a tour of an Ogdensburg energy plant that’s poised for millions of dollars in upgrades and improvements that could help create and protect hundreds of North Country jobs.
Senator Ritchie invited her colleague, Senate Energy Committee Chair George Maziarz of Western New York, to join her and local officials, including Ogdensburg Mayor William Nelson and representatives of the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, on the tour of the Alliance Energy facility located on the grounds of the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center.
Senator Ritchie also serves on the Energy Committee.
