State Senator Patty Ritchie along with the Jefferson County Office for the Aging invites the community to her 2011 Senior Health and Wellness Expo on Sept. 14 at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds on Coffeen Street in Watertown.

“The Senior Health and Wellness Expo will provide a one stop experience for people who want to meet and talk to health care professionals,” Senator Ritchie said. “Whether you want to check your blood pressure, get tips on how to keep fit, or get free health screenings, this event will help you preserve your health.”

Seniors Flock To Fulton To Learn About Services In Oswego County

Senator Patty Ritchie’s Senior Health and Wellness Expo at the Fulton War Memorial Wednesday drew a capacity crowd.

The event offered seniors and their families free flu shots, cancer screening and an introduction to a variety of services, including health care, senior nutrition, fitness, even square dancing.

Attendees were treated to a wealth of information about staying fit and healthy, and a great time.

SENATOR RITCHIE HAILS SIGNING OF AUTISM BILL

New York Now 29th State To Provide Coverage To Families

State Senator Patty Ritchie hailed the signing of a new law she supported that will insure that families dealing with autism can obtain the kind of treatment they need.

“Early diagnosis and treatment can make a critical difference for the one out of 110 children and their families affected by autism spectrum disorder,” said Senator Patty Ritchie. “With more than 30,000 children under the age of 19 in New York State identified with autism, this legislation will insure that families can obtain the care they need when they need it.”
