State Senator Patty Ritchie met with students and faculty who are part of Jefferson Community College’s nursing program on Wednesday at her office in Albany. 

Those at the meet spoke with the senator about safe patient handling, staff to patient ratio as well as degree requirements for program participants.

FULTON MEDICAL CENTER OPENS ITS DOORS

State Senator Patty Ritchie joined members of the public and healthcare officials Thursday, at an open house for the new Fulton Medical Center on Fourth St. in Fulton. 

The new, state-of-the-art center is the result of Oswego Health’s major renovation of the former A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital.

RITCHIE HONORS LEGENDARY NEWSMAN KELLY

State Senator Patty Ritchie presented retired newspaper publisher and editor Charles W. Kelly with a special Resolution at the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club Expo over the weekend. Senator Ritchie introduced the resolution in the New York State Senate earlier this year to honor the longtime journalist. Kelly helped found the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club and the annual Expo.  He was a journalist for 57 years. He oversaw The Journal in Ogdensburg, the Advance News, the St. Lawrence Plaindealer in Canton, the Massena Courier Observer, the Malone Telegram and the Rural News.
