Senator Phil Boyle is hosting a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which is September 24th through October 15th. He will honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Hispanic community. The ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 24th, at Bay Shore-Brightwaters Public Library.

Disaster Preparedness Forum

On Long Island, people must be prepared for the severe weather threats that can come at any time. That is why Senator Phil Boyle is hosting a free Disaster Preparedness Forum. The New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, The Red Cross, and other local agencies will be providing information on how people can better prepare themselves.

Senator Boyle's One-on-One Event in Sayville

Senator Phil Boyle will be hosting a “One-on-One with your Senator” event at Sayville Public Library (located at 88 Greene Avenue in Sayville) on Wednesday, September 9th, from 5 PM to 7 PM. People can come in to meet their senator in a one-on-one setting to voice opinions on legislative issues, seek assistance with state services, or get information on state programs. His staff will also be in attendance to offer assistance in determining whether people have unclaimed funds with the State Comptroller’s Office. Everyone in and around Sayville is welcome to attend!

FREE Breast Cancer Screening

According to the NY State Department of Health, an average of 2,400 women are  diagnosed with breast cancer each year; a startling 1 in 9 right here on Long Island.  Sadly, many of those women die from this terrible illness.  Early detection is critical and can save lives.

That is why I have partnered with Project Renewal and Scanvan to co-host a free Mammogram screening for women forty and older who have not been tested within the last year. More information is below.

Annual Veterans Pancake Breakfast

This Saturday, August 15th I will be hosting my 3rd Annual Veterans Appreciation Pancake Breakfast free for veterans of the 4th Senate District and their families as a way to thank them for their dedication and commitment.

My staff and I are hoping that Veterans of all wars will join us from  8 AM to 11 AM at the American Legion Post 94 located at 22 Grove Place in Babylon so we can personally express our thanks for their service.
