Carmel, N.Y. – 04/25/2014 – Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) hosted a Homeland Security Drug Crisis Roundtable in conjunction with the Senate Joint Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction on Thursday evening at the Paladin Center Tactical Training Facility in Carmel, NY.
SENATE TASK FORCE SEEKS ANSWERS TO ADDRESS HEROIN, OPIOID ABUSE
Senator Betty Little and Senator Phil Boyle, chair of the NYS Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction, will cohost a public hearing in Plattsburgh on Friday, April 25 to solicit input from local stakeholders about effective ways to combat the growing problem of heroin and opioid abuse.
The event is scheduled for Friday, April 25, 10 am to 12:30 pm at the Clinton County Government Center, 2nd Floor legislative chambers located at 137 Margaret Street.

More than a dozen individuals including reformed addicts, treatment experts and law enforcement officials from Central and Northern New York shared experiences and solutions for fighting back against heroin abuse at Senator Ritchie’s forum on heroin and opioid addiction, held Friday in Watertown.
The forum was one of 13 being held across New York by a bipartisan task force—which Senator Ritchie serves on—created to solicit input on the rise in the use of heroin and opioids, and find solutions for treating and preventing addiction and its consequences.

ONEONTA, 04/14/14 -- State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I – Oneonta) today announced that he will be hosting the Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction on Monday, April 28 in Oneonta. The forum is one of twelve being held statewide to solicit local input on the rise in use of heroin and other opioids in New York State and develop recommendations for treating and preventing addiction.
