Senator Roy McDonald sponsored a resoultion commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Saratoga Jazz Festival. Present for the occasion were Marcia White, SPAC’s President & Executive Director, SPAC Board Member Don McCormack, festival producer Danny Melnick, President of Absolutely Live Entertainment and William Smith, Director of Sales for Freihofer’s, the Title Sponsor of the Festival. Majority Leader Dean Skelos presented the resolution, along with Senator McDonald, to the honored guests.
Senator Roy McDonald hosted a swearing-in ceremony to kick-off his second term representing the 43rd Senate District. The event took place at Hudson Valley Community College’s TEC-SMART facility in Malta.
Albany – Senator Roy McDonald sponsored a Senate Resolution at the State Capitol today congratulating the Averill Park High School Girls Basketball Team for capturing both the New York State Public School Athletic Association Class A Championship and the New York State Federation Class A Championship.
Senator McDonald meets with members of the Lansingburgh Historical Society to discuss the importance of preserving the Lansingburgh Old Village Cemetery, which is home to many Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War Soldiers.
Senator Roy McDonald (43rd Senate District) was sworn in for his first term as the New York State Senator for the 43rd District representing Saratoga and Rensselaer Counties. Senator McDonald took the oath of office in the Senate Chamber on January 7, 2008, the opening day of the 2009-2010 legislative session.
