Troy, November 20, 2009– Senator Roy McDonald was in Troy on Friday, where he met with two local civic organizations and visited a local business, he then traveled to Mechanicville to honor a local small business.
Albany- Senator Roy McDonald attended the New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony on October 6th where local fireman David P. Meron Sr. from the Hoosick Falls, Pittstown, and Raymertown Volunteer Fire Departments was recognized for his heroism and bravery.
Saratoga Springs- Senator Roy McDonald addressed the attendees of the New York State Association of Counties at a formal luncheon for their Fall seminar. McDonald also participated in the Standing Committee Meeting on Children with Special Needs during the week long conference.
Albany – Senator Roy McDonald sent a letter to representatives of Global Foundries today calling upon them to hold a job fair locally so that Capital District and Upstate residents have the opportunity to obtain jobs at the Luther Forest Technology Park Campus in Malta.
As a Decorated Veteran, Senator McDonald knows first hand the importance of good leadership in our Armed Forces. The Senator talks to the cadets about their important role in taking care of our community members sons and daughters while they are in dangerous situations.
Albany - Senator Roy McDonald recently recognized efforts by students for their organization and participation in the 32nd annual South High Marathon Dance.
The 2009 South High Marathon Dance raised an incredible $260,020. Even more impressive is that the dance is almost entirely planned and organized by South High students. 720 students participated in this year’s dance, which dedicated the funds raised to 22 charitable causes.
