Albany – Senator Roy McDonald led a breakout session discussion at Governor Cuomo’s economic development council on New York “Success Stories in Technology”, which highlighted New York’s position, economic infrastructure assets, and growth opportunities in emerging technologies.
Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-Erie), Senator Roy McDonald (R-Saratoga) and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-Westchester) conducted a press conference Monday in Albany to outline a plan to structurally reform the cost administration of New York State’s Medicaid system by incrementally transferring full responsibility for funding the $44 billion program to the State -- gradually eliminating the local share traditionally paid by county governments.
“Families that need help paying medical bills for their loved ones can finally get the coverage they deserve,” Chairman of the Senate Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee Senator Roy McDonald (R, Saratoga) said. “Enactment of this bill will make New York a leader in providing services and ensuring protections for those with autism. I want to thank my colleagues in the Senate for passing this bill, and look forward to doing more to help those with autism and similar developmental disabilities.”

Albany – Karen Gordon, the Executive Director of the Commission on Economic Opportunity, was honored by the New York State Senate as a 2010 Woman of Distinction at a ceremony at the Capital on Tuesday, May 24. Senator Roy McDonald selected Gordon as his nominee for the prestigious honor.
