New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-NY) will lead the all-night vigil of thirty (30) buses sponsored by the National Organization for Marriage bound for Washington, D.C. to join the March for Marriage demonstration in front of the United States Supreme Court on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. The thirty (30) buses filled with Pentecostal ministers and members of the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization will depart from various locations in New York at midnight, and gather at 9:00 AM in front of the United States Supreme Court.

In fact, spending by shadowy outside groups has become increasingly pervasive everywhere, including in New York elections. Unless we change the system with reforms like meaningful disclosure rules and public campaign financing, this crisis will only grow worse. Fortunately, key figures in Albany are pushing for more transparency in our state’s government.
