Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz Announces $3 Million in Capital Grants
Bronx, NY - State Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz (SD 32) today announced the availability of over $3 million in capital grants to twenty organizations in his district.
“I am proud to announce these much-needed grants,” stated Senator Díaz. “The organizations that will receive these capital funds provide extremely important services to the community. These grants will improve services, and ultimately, the beneficiaries are the people who live in the 32nd Senatorial District,” concluded Senator Díaz.

In response to your statement that “we haven’t found much for which to praise state Sen. Ruben Diaz, Sr.,” I would like to offer the following comments.
If your only concerns are gay marriage and abortion, then your statement bears some merit. I oppose gay marriage and I oppose abortion, and I always will.

On Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 12:00 noon, New York State Senator Reverend Rubén Díaz (D-Bronx) and Community Organizer Luis Sepulveda, Esq., will hold a press conference with Mr. Mohobub Alom, President of the Bangladesh Society of The Bronx, to denounce the hate-crimes that continue to plague Bangladeshi Americans who live and work in the Parkchester community. New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) issued the following statement after receiving notice of the immediate approval of a speed hump to be installed on the block where a five-year old boy was a victim of a hit and run this past August.
“On behalf of the family and friends of young Joshua Saunders, I must publicly thank the New York City Department of Transportation Commissioner Sadik-Khan for her immediate approval of my request for a speed hump on East 214th Street in The Bronx.
