Senate passes legislation to protect privacy of domestic violence survivors Senator Shirley L. Huntley (D-Jamaica) announced passage of legislation (S. 1031B) that will enhance domestic violence survivors’ safety by requiring insurers to provide them with alternative contact information which protects their privacy and ensures correspondence is received at a safe location free from the fear of attack.
Speaker Quinn and Senator Huntley share the same concerns that are affecting New York City and New York State such Rent Control legislation, Education and school closures, Anti-Bullying in schools and Social Service programs.

Senate Bills Strengthen Protections for Youth and Other Vulnerable New Yorkers from Sexual Predators
Working to protect victims of sexual abuse, the New York State Senate passed a package of bills aimed at improving public safety, creating harsher penalties for perpetrators of sexual abuse and strengthening adherence to penal laws, Senator Shirley L. Huntley (D-Jamaica) announced today.
