SENATOR SALAND CALLS FOR AN IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION - Hundreds of thousands of public dollars funneled to ACORN called into question

SENATOR SALAND ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF ART GRANTS

Senator Steve Saland (R,I,C – Poughkeepsie) joins the Dutchess County Arts Council in announcing the availability of grants for individual artists and art organizations in Dutchess and Ulster counties.

The Project Grant Program is a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) designed to promote regional community-based arts.

QUADRICENTENNIAL: CELEBRATE OUR STATE’S HISTORIC HUDSON RIVER

Throughout the month of July, festivities from the New York Harbor to the Canadian border will take place commemorating the explorations of Henry Hudson and Samuel de Champlain in 1609 as well as the 200th anniversary of Robert Fulton’s steamship voyage on the Hudson River.  The Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial will be recognizing these significant events which greatly contributed to our State’s rich history, growth, and culture. &nbs
