(WEDC) are pleased to announce that they will host a Small Business & Economic Development Forum on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Avenue, White Plains. This is the 21st small business conference hosted by the Senator, which is held again this year with the generous support of Capital One Bank.
Senator Suzi Oppenheimer is partnering with the NYS Department of Labor to host Immigrants Connect 2012, an information fair for immigrants and small businesses. The event will feature government and community organizations that will provide individuals and small businesses with information on services and programs available to the State's vibrant immigrant population.

Architects Name Oppenheimer 2010 Legislator of the Year
Representatives of AIA New York State will present Senator Suzi Oppenheimer with a certificate noting her designation as its 2010 Legislator of the Year for her role in sponsoring the recently enacted Smart Growth Initiative.
Coincidentally, the presentation will be made shortly after a press conference commemorating the signing of the smart growth legislation into law. The Ossining Public Library, where the award presentation will be held, is itself a green public building.
