Just met with Ava Bynum, Founder & Executive Director of Hudson Valley Seed. This is a great organization that works with local classrooms through educational gardens and a nature-based curriculum to creatively educate our youth.
It's the diversity of cultures that makes the Hudson Valley an exciting place to live. I took part in celebrating the Mexican Holiday, "Day of The Dead," in the City of Poughkeepsie which is devoted to keeping the memories alive of those family and friends that are no longer with us.
Congratulations to these local businesses that received this years National Disability Employment Awareness Award. They understand how important it is to offer employment opportunities to those with disabilities. Proud to have been apart of today's awards ceremony.
