I recently sat down with Arnaldo Sehwerert, PhD., Regional Director and Cathy Terrizzi, Business Advisor, at the Mid-Hudson Small Business Development Center. This is a great organization helping small businesses across the Hudson Valley.
With Kathleen M. Murphy, Executive Director, and Amy Lemon Olson, Board Member, of the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse at their annual benefit. Thank you and congratulations to the honorees, Dutchess County Sheriff Butch Anderson and Undersheriff Kirk Imperati.
I want to thank all the veterans and veteran organizations that took part in my inaugural Veteran Advisory Committee meeting last night. I'm confident that by working together we can improve the lives of veterans and their families in our communities.
Beautiful day, celebrating and promoting the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt at her historic Val-Kill home. It is important to remember Eleanor Roosevelt whose legacy challenges us to have strength, courage, and confidence in the face of fear. Following her example, we must continue to accomplish the things that we may think we cannot do. In the top right photo are Uri Perrin, Executive Director, Honoring Eleanor Roosevelt; Claudine Bacher, Founding Chair; and Board Member Carol Hillman.
In my continuous effort to keep everyone informed on what is happening in Albany and our District, every week I film a public access show that airs locally. However, you can also watch them online each week by searching 'Terry Gipson' on the NYS Senate YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/NYSenate/
“When the Town of Poughkeepsie and the Village of Cold Spring both made the same request within a matter of days, I knew we had to act on this common sense legislation that will have a positive impact on all our neighborhoods.” - Senator Terry Gipson.
I was honored to help kick off Art Along the Hudson's 10th anniversary last night. We must take advantage of the amazing creativity and arts throughout the Hudson Valley in our efforts to grow our local economy and create jobs. www.artalongthehudson.com
