Senator O'Mara welcomes Yates County senior volunteers to the Capitol

Albany, N.Y.—New York State Senator Tom O’Mara (R-C, Big Flats)  welcomed John Moeller of Penn Yan and William “Bill” Wormuth, Sr. of Penn Yan to the State Capitol on May 8th as part of a Senior Citizens’ Day 2012 event in Albany sponsored by the New York State Office for the Aging.

The event pays tribute to the significant contributions made by older New Yorkers to their communities.

Albany, N.Y., January 17—State Senator Tom O’Mara (R-C, Big Flats) today welcomed  Governor Andrew Cuomo’s proposed 2012-2013 state budget for proposing additional steps toward eliminating the local share of Medicaid costs.  But O’Mara plans to keep pushing for this year’s final budget to do even more to eliminate the local costs associated with the state’s $53-billion-plus Medicaid program.
