State Senate Passes HAVA Legislation

 

“This legislation satisfies the 5 percent matching fund requirement to trigger $153 million in Title III money under HAVA. Voters, for the first time, who believe there has been a violation of HAVA, will be able to file a formal complaint with the State Board of Elections. This legislation also provides for a statewide voter registration list will be established for the first time,” said Senator Morahan.

Senator Morahan Welcomes Home Army Reserve Veterans After Serving For 13 Months In Iraq

At a ceremony held at the Palisade Center Mall in West Nyack, Senator Morahan participated in a Welcome Home Ceremony for Bravo Company, 854th Engineer Battalion.The unitserved in Camp Doha Kuwait from 2004 to February 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They provided a range of engineering services, including construction of the theatre entry and exit point at Camp Doha.

Senate Passes Death Penalty Legislation

Scores of students from Pearl River High School joined civic leaders and elected officials at the Swearing -In Ceremonies for Senator Morahan which were held at Pearl River High School.
